Yep. GPU no doubt. Plus the longer you wait the cheaper SSDs will get.

This and in the next year we are going to see a new controller. So the price of SSDs with SandForce controllers might really go do.

Video cards are the most often upgraded part you'll see for PC's. Of course update this first. If you have extra money later on, get a Solid State Drive to use for your primary hard drive, and move your standard Hard Disk Drive to being a storage drive, or get you a big one to store shite on. Mainly your games and porn.

Depends though if he is still on a 775socket. You will have a extreme bottleneck if upgrading to 6XX/7XXX series.

Trace, Stout and Kracka thanks for the input. I am running an AM3+ socket with that underwhelming FX bird..BUT, of course if you overclock her she's not too bad. I like the zambezi because it was cheap and doesn't do bad in video editing and other thangs. Also, it was not the one stout was selling, but it prob very close. I got mine for 119 @ the egg. So..my budget on the upgrade is going to be low ot mid 150$...Was thinking of getting the GTX 650ti..or should I get the Older 560 ? What say you ?

150$
A used 2gb 7850, 6870, 6950, 560ti, and maybe the 660 would be the best buck. Especially a used 7850 Pics of my junk finished (minus the video card, obviously) My cable management is atrocious so far. I'm going to try to clean it up tomorrow when my video card comes in, but it is awful so far. I have to use a lot of force to put my power supply in its little bay at the bottom (the cables need to be sleeved to make it easier). I'm going to attempt to sleeve these, but I really don't want to after the last go-round. Maybe I can find someone and pay them to do it for me EDIT: Video Card will be here today shoprunner with newegg is amazing. It supposed to be 2 day shipping, but I've gotten all my parts in a day after ordering.

You can find some good deals on a 560Ti now and probably after the first of the year probably. I would look into that possibly. I had one and it's a good card for the price.

Why would you pull dirty air into your rad? Those things get pretty dirty. I would pull/push air out from the inside of the case.

If you are really serious I know a guy who knows a guy that does this. ETA: FYI Blue, that iTX build makes me want an Intel iTX build.

Is there that big of a difference between the 6950's and the 7850's ? There is a radeon 6950in hammond for 175--i could offer 150 for it..but just looking for more input. Also, I am assuming that there will be even more used deals after Christmas. fake edit : Awesome rig BB. makes my pp hard

How much would this guy charge to do the sleeving? But the directions in the manual said to pull the air from outside the case, which I thought was weird too

Because it is cooler air but not that much cooler IMO. I just rather not take in dusk through my RAD. IDK, I can contact him. Here is his Artisian page. ETA: FrozenCPU also has a sleeving service. IDK the prices but they are probably high.

You know lutr0o? I watched all of his sleeving videos, but these double pins seem like too much trouble
