I don't have a fireman in this fight, but just to clear up some mis-info...
He isn't retiring the fireman hat because of the poor performance, he is retiring it becuase he claims he has been "confronted" by fellow Jets fans for wearing a Sanchez jersey. Ed says he can handle his own, but would rather not "make a stupid mistake."
