I don't think it's even a question. He threw a hit on Balotelli that would make Ray Lewis blush. ETA:If Balotelli played for Man U......it's a red for Luiz, add 10 mins of stoppage if FK isn't made. Or call a PK on FK.

That doesn't even show Luiz moving into it.

I don't know you can watch that video and say that. If you kick the ball one way and then blatantly run the other way into the defender what is he supposed to do? Like I said it shouldn't have been a card on Balotelli but he knew exactly what he was doing and Foy wasn't buying it.

None of that gives Luiz a right to body check him

His feet never move in the time Balotelli runs three steps toward him. Luiz has every right to stand his ground.

1) proving he's a terrible defender 2) Balotelli is trying to run around him, Luiz catches him with a clothesline

it's been blocked on youtube. I see no one agreeing with you.

Umm, yes. Ballo is clearly pulling his arms back into his body and leaning away trying to avoid Luiz.

No he's not. He has moments of idiocy, but he's nowhere near a terrible defender.

I did find a shitty video on youtube, but it didn't have the angle that showed, what I thought, Luiz stepping into it. You could see Luiz bracing for impact. Luiz never extended his arm so he did not clothesline him. I still think it's a foul on Luiz, but don't make it seem like he took the guys head off.

Haha, you pull your arms into your body to brace for impact. The contact he knew he was about to create.

Wow. I mean, I kind of want to applaud you for being that blindly loyal. I didn't think it was possible.

I don't even understand your argument. Are you saying Balotelli wasn't looking for contact? Or that you don't pull your arms toward body when you are bracing for contact? Both of those statements are pretty much inarguable. Whether you think Luiz should have gotten out of the way is one thing but there is zero doubt that Balotelli intentionally ran at/into Luiz trying to draw the foul.
