Five preseason top 25 teams and four teams that were ranked in the top 10 at some moment this season. Also played 11 AQ teams. Now, tell me the biggestt non-conference win for the entire SEC before today's Florida game.

all lies. they have beaten 3 current Top-25 teams. Michigan currently #18 and moving down tomorrow Oklahoma currently #13 and moving up tomorrow Stanford currently #8 and moving up tomorrow how many current Top-25 teams has Georgia beaten? 2 what about Alabama? 3 LSU? 2 Oregon? 1 Florida? 3 point being - ND's schedule and current Top-25 ranked opponents they have beaten is just as good and more than most. *edit - Bama only has 3 wins (not 5) over current Top-25 teams and Michigan will be moving down into the mid 20's tomorrow.

You only count teams who were ranked when they played ND

If the Domers played our schedule this last game would be to try and get bowl eligible.
You've got to be out of your freakin' mind. Not only did Notre Dame not play any FCS schools, they didn't even play any non-AQ schools. When LSU was playing Idaho, Notre Dame was playing Michigan State and when LSU was struggling to a two-point win over Towson State, Notre Dame was playing Michigan. Mettenberger was bad in the first part of the season, and if LSU had played Notre Dame's schedule, they wouldn't be ranked right now.

Not necessarily. Either way beating a 4 loss team that lost to every good team they played isn't anything to write home about.

Navy? Pitt's barely in an AQ conference.

MSU sucks. LSU fans aren't acting like UW was a quality opponent so ND should do the same with MSU, Pitt, Wake, BC, Purdue.

What?

point being - ND's schedule and current Top-25 ranked opponents they have beaten is just as good and more than most. the only team with a more impressive win total over current Top-25 teams is Bama.
The other thing that makes Notre Dame's schedule tough is that they didn't schedule any glorified scrimmages like every team in the SEC did (eg. Towson State, Western Carolina, Gerogia Southern, Jacksonville State, etc.). Pathetic! There's a big difference between playing mediocre AQ schools and playing FCS schools. Not only could an FCS not have taken Notre Dame to 3 OT's this year, but an FCS school couldn't have beaten Kansas State last week, Oklahoma State last year or West Virginia in 2007 to the delight of Tiger fans everywhere.

Here is the difference between SEC schedules and Notre Dame's schedule. It is the back to back to back games. USCe played Georgia, LSU, then Florida. Florida played LSU, USCe, then Georgia. LSU played Florida, USCe, aTm, open then Bama. That is the difference! Period! You don't go thru that without a loss.

Notre dame would probably lose 2 of the 3.

You just described Souther Carolina's schedule, not SEC schedules, because no other team in the SEC played murderer's row this ytear. And as I said earlier, Notre Dame doesn't schedule glorified scrimmages like SEC teams do.
