i would say it's a tie between patterson and gundy. maybe slight edge to patterson.
I'd be ecstatic with either.

There is huge portion wanting Gruden and convinced he has signed. The reality being that is a huge troll job with the intent to undermine Long no matter who he hires.

If Patterson was going to leave TCU, he would have gone to a lot better schools than an Arkansas team that has to play Alabama, LSU, aTm, Auburn, and South Carolina every year.

strong never was a priority maybe to Kentucky or Tennessee but not to us/ I have heard Gundy was coming but I do not believe it. Gary Patterson is my gut feeling on the subject after watching him beat Texas. Dick Bumpas is a connection to our job.
I do not believe Petersen will come and I also believe everything on hog-ville right now is a complete joke. Mods are clueless as well as the owner. Joke -- we need new media and message boards in Arkansas which is why a lot of us come here.

same could've been said about Petrino but as he said while he was coach and even after getting fired his dream was to always coach in the SEC because of the high level of competition. Some coaches like the challenge, not sure how Patterson feels but being a coach in the SEC is still the pinnacle for many guys, even if it's not at one of the big name schools.

This still happens in the 4 million range, Texas Patterson makes the most sense for us. Look for an announcement on Sunday. All these smoke screens are to throw off the lead dog. But he is still in the hunt.
