Ok so I think I figured it out I need to run a optical cable from the TV to the receiver, and HDMI from the 360 to the TV. Is that correct? The only problem I'm running into is I'm stationed in Okinawa and for some unknown reason therre isn't any optical cables on this damn island 
I just ordered on from amazon hopefully it gets here soon.

I'm not sure what the optical cable does, but I assume I'm going to have to run my audio jacks from my PS3 to my receiver, then the HDMI from the PS3 to the tv.
Why do you need the optical cable from the tv to receiver?
