Very good season that could have been great with a win over the gumps in DV.

Whew good thing they are not "replacements" but highly recruited players who happen to back up the starters due to inexperience. As Adam Banks said the drop off leads to missed blocks/assignments on occasion but overall talent is still there. It isn't like the back ups are scrubs from ULL or SELU they are players Alabama, Florida, A&M and other wanted.

Probably was a highly recruited player who tore his knee up in senior season or walked away because he didn't love it

So you just named a who's who of college football coaches. Now list how many times they have done this feat and how many ncs they have won and appeared in and how many conference championships they have won and appeared in please

Not a one of you will crow about how awesome those coaches are for winning 10 games. I wonder how many make $4 mil a year?
yeah I'm sure these coaches aren't receiving accolades from their fan base and upper mgmt for being in the top 10% of their career field. Now extrapolate through a 5 year period, or anything more than a 24 Nov snapshot. Also, you need to consider their ranking, you know that way to measure the SOS differences b/t each 10 win season. Unless you really think Rutgers 10 wins=LSU wins

obviously every year is different, but last year AU vs UVA was the Peach Bowl. That's where we're headed this year. Yay Les!

great winning season by LSU
Yeah, we're the fourth best team in the SEC (Bama, UGA, Florida all have better records), we lost two games where we had leads, we struggled with lesser opponents (Ole Miss, Ark, Towson), we didn't win a national title, we didn't win an SEC title, we didn't win an SEC West title, and we won't appear in a BCS bowl. In no way, shape, or form does that constitute a "great" season. It's a good season, but not "great."
