This is what happens when you post definitive statements without any proof...you look like a fool. Auburn is nowhere near the most penalized team of all-time. Some people on here have a bad problem of forcing things they say to be considered as facts.

Didn't Urban take the OState job under looming NCAA penalties?

Yes, same thing with Al Golden (Miami, FL) and Bill O'Brien (Penn State).

Miami isn't on probation and wasn't when Golden took the job. The story broke months after he started.

Notice the word "looming"...quote:
(of an event regarded as ominous or threatening) Seem about to happen - there is a crisis looming - higher mortgage rates loomed large last night
It's about to hit. That's why I listed his name.

Florida State 10.Memphis LINK / But again I am sorry, no where near the most corrupt. Feel better now?

In the last 20 years, Auburn has zero football probations... In that time Alabama has 3 football probations...there was a time when you statements ran true, but Alabama has had more penalties because their violations have been more serious, staring down the barrel of the death penalty. Plus 4'years of vacated or forfeited seasons.

Well, looming is debatable, since the NCAA didn't even get involved until Robinson broke the story, and in the year since then, the NCAA has been dragging their feet with the investigation.

There is a lot of stupid shite said on these boards and this is certainly no exception. First you assume there are skeletons. For arguments sake lets say there are. Now trooper is a coach it's his profession, a profession I'm sure he would at minimum like to stay in and probably want to advance in. So you're saying we need to pay him so he doesn't say he's a cheater and he cheated at auburn. I'm not really sure how to articulate career suicide to you since you've already shown you're dense. Unless you think an AD or head coach would be thrilled to hire a guy that burns the place down after he goes.

Like those that claim Auburn runs a clean program?
