I know absolutely nothing about MT but I fully support anyone's ability to have a short PowerPoint presentation for 5-10 people about it. This is still a free country right?

True. In fact, if those who object to the event didn't bitch about it, I doubt anyone would fricking notice.

Hitches made it his personal mission to defile Mother Teresa after he was not allowed access to information from those writing her biography.

I'm pretty sure he went and visited her 'hospices' first hand and was horrified by what he saw. The fact is, the woman is a horribly overrated person. She raised millions upon millions (including from dictators) and donated it to the Vatican rather than do anything to improve the lives of the people who were dying and receiving negligent medical care under her hand. She deserved to be exposed and defiled. ETA: There was also the time she went to Enver Hoxha's grave and gave a nice little homily about him being a great humanitarian. No, really.

Um no, there are plenty of good Catholics and Christians who do real mission work and actually help elevate the impoverished and dont just raise money for the Vatican's corrupt bank while people are dying in squalid conditions under their watch. Additionally, you should probably read some of MT's own notes about her self-admitted crisis of faith towards the end of her life. Turns out she wasn't the biggest believer herself

Actually, it is Mother Teresa who defiled the message and image of Christianity for her own purposes.
