If you are going to make a sci-fi flick about a war on Mars, having said planet in the title would help.

The second problem is with the initial reviewers..."It's like xxxx meets xxxx," or "It was just like xxxx."

Problem here is that this series was ahead of its time. Many people took from it, and John Carter was made to seem like a rip-off by the reviewers, instead of the granddaddy of them all.
