re: Bobby Jindal gets it

Bobby is speaking out for one party, himself. He's probably disappointed me more than Foster, as I felt, early in his first term, that his IQ was just what this state needed. Foster was a self made millionaire & knew how to run the state like a good business. He just got caught up in making it work for he & his buddies. Bobby is off the charts intelligent, but for all the good that is doing the state, he mite as well be as dumb as Blanco. He is responsible for the biggest curtain of secrecy being dropped on internal government doings than any other governor going back before EWE's first term. What is he so desperate to hide?

You do realize that Jindal has operated our state with a $180 million surplus, right? In this Obama economy...that's worthy of sainthood status.

Had Romney won, Jindal would be singing a different tune today.

Don't be a drama queen. He did piss me off that he pushed through all of this ethics reform stuff, but excluded him and his innercircle from it, but I don't think it is a huge deal.

My biggest problem with him is he wasted a chance to reform higher educated because he didn't want to rock the boat and mess with the good ole boy system. He also backed some questionable politicians in the last year or two and that suprisied me.

IMO,

The GOP needs to drop all the religious rhetoric. Keep it personal and to yourself, nothing is wrong with that. Allow to guide as you please, but do not pressure it on others. Also, allow women to have a choice. GOP is pro-life, well meet women 1/2 way and shut up about abolishing abortions. Third, stop this silly war on drugs. These are issues that will gain quick votes for the party.

Edit - It would be great to have someone from Louisiana in the White House. I would have significant hope it would help our state.

I bet Timmy Teepell is creaming his pants putting together a plan for 2016.

That really is all he cares about. That is all he has planned for since even before he became governor. Spends over half of his time flying all over the country campaigning for other republicans and giving sound bites.

After scaring everyone into thinking there was a billion dollar deficit, and borrowing from the rainy-day fund.

Which he then refused to pay back with the surplus.

Guess what, his economic forecasters predicted the exact same huge shortfalls this year, too. I think they said something like $963,000,000.00(USD).

But no one will ever hear about how their projections for growth in revenue are so far off. Just like last year. By projecting ridiculously inaccurate growth forecasts, they could forecast dire budgetary situations and ram through deep cuts.

Same thing this year. He's scaring everyone by talking about $963,000,000 deficits, and when he gtes his cuts and lays the screws to everyone from healthcare to secondary education with state civil servants left behind in the undertow, everyone will champion him.

Then it'll come out at the Revenue Estimating Conference that they again projected ridiculously and there's a huge sum left over as a surplus. But of course not a dime to protect LSU, state workers or anyone other than his 6-figure political appointees.
