This exactly
BGE actually makes them with a small gap in them to avoid cracking now but the crack does not effect performance.

Pretty sure all the ceramic items carry a lifetime warranty. Try contacting the company you purchased from or Kamado Joe themselves. From what I have seen on their facebook page they respond pretty quickly to product issues.
