This season comes down to nothing more than the luck of the draw...

Here are the cross-division schedules of each of the top 6 SEC teams.

LSU: @UF and USCe
Bama: @Mizzou and @UT
A&M: UF and Mizzou

UGA: AU and Ole Miss
UF: @A&M and LSU
USCe: @LSU and Arkansas

Guess who's playing for the SEC Championship?

We saw how Bama played when they played back-to-back top ten teams. They lost one and almost lost the other one. What if you tacked on two more of those games? Add to that, how would they have played if they had those two games before the LSU and A&M run? They split the only two losable games they played all year.

What about UGA? They lost handily to USCe and beat UF. Once again, they split the only two losable games they played all year.

All of this happened while LSU and UF had to play an extra two games versus the top ten in conference.

The more I watch CFB the less impressed I am with the format.

ETA: BTW, next year UGA rotates onto the schedule for us. Bama rotates UK in place of Mizzou.

Yep. Thought each one of them will never admit it.

I'm guessing you will not see the "I love playing UF every year" idiots in this thread.

I was actually thinking along similar lines but a little different. We barely won on the road in Tiger Stadium against LSU with them having two weeks of rest before playing us. I wonder how bad we would have beat them if we had also had an off week.

It is obvious that our off week came way too early in the season this year and we should always take our off week before we play LSU.

I knew about us playing UGA, didn't know that Mizzou would rotate out and UK would come in. Geez, just leave them there.

Another weak schedule for Bama.

Although I do like our schedule next year. We take care of our business, we'll be good.

No luck of the draw. Birmingham selected the cross divisional opponenets.

Do not ever think the SEC office in Birmingham does anything randomly.

Every season, LSU and UF have the most difficult schedules.

"Luck of the draw" when you're talking about a recently made AND temporary schedule..

No, it's the SEC dealing from the bottom of the deck. There is ZERO reason LSU and Alabama could not have split UF/USC/Mizzou/UT.

Let LSU take UF/Mizzou and let Bama take USC/UT.
