Some background...
Katrina Evacuee; he, along with mother and brother, moved from New Iberia to Reno in 2005.
Guy finished high school in 2008; spent 2009 in Hargrave-style prep school in North Carolina; spent 2010-2011 in JUCO in California; spent 2012 working out and taking correspondence class.
Apparently math is his Achilles heel; he cannot do math.
If he enrolls at LSU next year, he will be 25 years old.
Athletic freak. State champ in long jump, triple jump, 100 M, 200 M; also played DE as a senior in high school and led the state in sacks.
6'3" 220 with a legit 4.4.

He went to Westgate in New Iberia.
Also... arrested twice.
Says he has learned his lesson now.

Well reading the article, the arrests don't seem like a big deal. I drank at parties at LSU before I was 21.

Well, it does offer hints of him using poor judgment and having a bit of a diva attitude if the police reports are believed.
Still, he sounds mature and contrite when asked about the incidents. Everyone makes mistakes, especially when they are young.

Courtney Gardner (if he can get eligible)

Avery Johnson
Then you have Travin Dural who should be a nice additiong, and experienced hands James Wright and Kadron Boone. I assume Magee will move back to RB.
If Mett can stay healthy we can probably cause some real matchup issues with a lot of teams.

You count out James Wright and Kadron Boone already? Geez.. They both have proved this year that they are legit receivers and both will be seniors next year. I won't put the new guys ahead of them with such hurry.

Maybe you could put one of them in place of Avery Johnson........but these other two guys look to be potential game breakers. Wright and Boone were serviceable guys this year, but didn't exactly strike fear in defenders.

I agree. Wright and Boone have been quality WRs this year and I feel they can be better next year.
I think Boone is our most physical WR.

Yeah now that we've learned more it seems the chances of him ever playing a down at LSU are fairly slim. I hope to hell he can make it.
But hey, what have we got to lose. If he comes down here and somehow passes 3 intersession classes we get an NFL prospect for 1 year to battle it out with the guys we have already. Everyone will benefit from that. If not, no loss. I think it is safe to say that LSU is not counting on him, but if he beats the odds the coaches would be thrilled.

Guy looks like an incredible prospect, almost too good to be true. I will be surprised if he gets on campus though, just a feeling.
Amazing potential. Really aware of the ball and has great hands.
