Les Miles and LSU are a perfect fit; eccentric and colorful.
This. At the same time, Sabin and Alabama are a good fit, full of regimentation, x's and o's, analysis, and no profanity on tidefans.com. When the two teams play it is a clash of cultures. Having lived in and gone to school at both Alabama and LSU, I'll take Louisiana's culture. Miles in his eccentric, intuitive thinking way is as good as any coach anywhere. Parents are proud to turn their sons over to him for leadership. This year--with all the injuries, the Honey Badger morale problem, the not ready for primetime early season Mettenberger--might be Miles's greatest coaching year. How freakin' easy it would have been after the Florida game to have just said, "This isn't our year." Well, it has been our year, and we have won a lot and are proud.
