watching the LSU vs Florida game from last year and they showed this stat right before the 20th TD by Ware.

By our sixth game this year we only had 14 TDs in 25 trips

In our first eight games last year we had 31 TDs in 39 trips, in 10 games this year we have 21 TDs in 41 trips.

WTF happened?

Remind me, how many of our first 8 games last year did JJ play in?

We had those stats before Les decided to frick with our offense.

We ran the ball down everyone's throat last year. This year, its taken a while to get our OL together. Next year we'll be demoralizing people again.

Pretty easy, we didn't have a true red zone threat WR or TE. Reuben could go fight for the ball but we hadnt had a WR like that until Landry in the Bama game really.

this.

The oline was decimated this year and it took a while for the backups to gel.

The same play calling that lost the NCG last year. Toss back to a RB and let them pick a hole left of the center, with (0) ZERO deception, misdirection, or fakes.
It does work sometime, but it's much harder to do the closer you get to the goal line because the db's are much closer and have less field to defend.

Decimated means half a lineman was eliminated. Actually it was about 6 times decimated.

Also, something else was at work here. Defenses all over the country had retooled to stop spread offenses. LSU's power running attack had become exotic. LSU's and Bama's success last year forced widespread changes, and we'll likely not see that run game dominance again.

Last season we had a healthy o-line throughout almost the entire season. This season, we had a healthy o-line through the first 2 games and a QB who had the habit of making very bad decisions in the RZ. Since the South Carolina game, the o-line has solidified and Mett has improved by a wide margin.
