I really think movie theatres should implement assigned seats. If fricking Croatian movie theaters can have it, why can't ours?
Uh, I don't know about that. I had that in Turkey and Greece and it sucked. Sitting next to some fat dude smoking.
But in London Piccadilly Circus has 3 types of seating sections (which I liked) priced at different ranges. Front, middle tier and upper tier.

How did that pricing work?

I saw Public Enemies in Greece back in 2009. Those lazy fricks had an intermission during a 2 hour movie. That's when I knew for sure they were screwed.
On topic: I don't know how the theater/studio relationship works, but after that I would say the costs are all sunk and immaterial. The guy seeing 100 films is only a problem if the theater has to account for him to the studio which im sure it does. But the movie itself is going to be playing at that time regardless if the big user is there or not, so those costs should be thrown out the equation(projector, power, etc)Id really like to know if that persons concession purchases would make it work, especially in week 2,3,4 of a movies run.
