And you believe the White House is going to allow someone speaking with the authority of the President to appear on 5 television programs without caring what that person is going to say just a few weeks before the Presidential election? Can I have some of what you're smoking if you buy that? Even the President's speeches are reviewed for potential bombs. There is no way the President's handlers are going to have a lower standard of review for a spokesperson on an issue as explosive as this.
I'd love to hear Oval office tapes discussing these matters. But after Nixon no President will make that mistake again.

I heard the CIA asked Bush to not refer to the planes hitting the twin towers as a terrorist attack either. They feared stating the obvious would be a clear sign of intelligence infiltration.

Why? One is just as plausible as the other.
The terrorists that attacked that day hung flags on their trucks and vehicles identifying themselves. Local witnesses recognized them as being a part of the group. They released a public admission that they were responsible!!! Please explain how stating the obvious, something that was already publicly known to everyone except US citizens on the other side of the world, how that would have jeopardized our investigation?

If this were true then it would be easy to clear the matter up wouldn't it? Somehow tapes are never available that provide authoritative evidence of what was discussed at specific meetings. Why is that? The White House official calendar reflects a meeting between Obama and his key advisors at around 5:00PM September 11, 2012. Wouldn't those tapes be able to shed some lght on who knew what and when? If the Obama administration is telling the truth the tapes should corroborate the story we've been told.

Has anybody, including Petraeus, come out and said, "There's no scandal here, nobody did anything wrong/bad, you guys are all crazy"?
I don't think I've heard that.
Just seems like a shift back and forth between CIA sources and maybe admin sources. Big time blame game, but about what?
