I tend to agree with this. In my view, the decline is a reflection of the fact that most fans - and most human beings - are becoming increasingly lazy, no account, complacent, listless pigs.
This is true and part of the reason Obama got reelected.
I know wrong board, but you have to agree. It is me first these days. Blee dat!

You're point is a legitimate one and I'll admit I've had similar thougts myself in the past. But I've come to the realization that the truth is as follows:
1- The people that pay for these tickets and the TAF fees are a very big part of the reason that the program has the facilities, infrastructure and money to pay top $ for coaches that allows the success LSU has obtained.
2- No one is getting left out. It really is easy to get tickets at the stadium. And for a resonable price (ie face value and under), especially for games that are not "marquee" game which is what I think we're discussing here.
3 -As a result of #2, I think us "passionate fans" are at least as much at fault as the "dilettat fans" for not bringing our buts down to more games. Last one I went to was SC.
4- I think Moo State is just kind of a depressing opponent It's not just that it seems to be a pretty automatic win. They come across as pretty drab in a lot o ways.

I regret that, and the creeping demise of Death Valley that it fosters.
I grew up attending games in the '60s and '70s. I graduated in '86 and attended all the games while I was a student. I was at the Bama game Nov. 3. I aIso have lived outside Louisiana for the past 26 years. I can assure you from both personal experience as well as national perception, Deaf Valley is not in demise.

Wow! That post was so deffensive that it's obvious to see that you leave early if you even attend the game. Did the op hit a nerve?
Well, I live in NY, so when I am able to attend a game, I pretty much stay the whole time.
I'm just older than 15, so I am always amused by threads like this where someone is trying so desperately to prove that they are cooler than other people.

and yet again, it is awesome to post on the same board as the pseudo tiger fan that cant be seen at the second half of a game because it is social suicide or just "too damn cold." Sitting in front of the TV is the more suitable place for a fan like yourself
You're so perceptive.

Well now you're bringing logic into the thread. We can't have that. Let the young pups who don't even remember Curley tell us all about how to be real fans.
