No. Good, but not Animal House good. Most the real funny parts didn't have much to do with college, while almost all of it was like that in Animal House.

Animal House is funny, but i dont think it holds up well over time. Different era.

That was the absolute point of the whole film, even back in the 70s. It was the end of a time of innocence in college and the beginning of debauchery in the fraternity, where the college system just didn't know how to handle it. Its a period piece, and that by default makes it age better since they have to bring you up to speed on the mentality at the time.

RIP

WOUNDED DEER, Massachusetts - Emily Dickinson College sophomore Fawn Liebowitz died suddenly last week in a kiln explosion on campus. Liebowitz, 20, a sociology major from Fort Wayne, Indiana, was tragically killed while firing a pot in the new kiln in Sylvia Plath Hall. "Messy" was how Wounded Deer Fire Chief Michael Redman.

In the wake of this tragedy, there has been talk among Emily Dickinson students of renaming Plath Hall to Fawn Hall. Until she was blown to bits, friends would say that Fawn's best feature was her smile. Her roommate, Shelly Dubinsky (sophomore, primitive cultures), described Fawn as "a special friend who liked to share her thoughts and experiences, and who had a curiosity about life and relationships." Her long-time boyfriend (they were "engaged to be engaged"), Eric "Otter" Stratton of nearby Faber College, was in shock when he first learned of Fawn's passing. "I just talked to her last week. She was going to make a pot for me," Stratton said while attempting to hold back tears.

Otter doing that I have to say is one of the most despicable acts ever put to film, but god damn was that hilarious.

quoted to me, by my mother after I got my grades first semester at LSU. Luckily I turned it around, and its properly funny to think about now.

No matter how many times I see it, I absolutely lose it when Bluto busts up the folk guy's guitar and gives him the "sorry" and walks off.

My favorite part of that is when Bluto gives him a genuine congratulatory nudge.

Is it just me, or is Dean Wormer really one of the most underrated villains ever. Pretty much right out of the gates he establishes himself as a huge a-hole and a guy who is not going to put up with the bullshite of the Deltas. He also may be the most quotable character in the film, next to Flounder and Otter.

Semantics! I love Animal House. It will always be tops. Old School is as close as anyone has come to getting the subject as well as Animal House did.

The entire scene with Larry and his good and bad consciences.

Definitely, i was going to reply to that with the same thought

and its not on the level of Animal House or maybe even Old School, but PCU is an underrated college comedy IMO
