12 is my usual go-to scotch when I'm in the scotch drinking mood.

12 has a unique taste to me, 18 is great but taste like other scotches that arnt as expensive

If you have access to Costco, their Kirkland Signature Scotch is actually rebranded Macallan. It's only available once a year, though, and when it's sold out, it's sold out. It usually comes out around this time of year...
Last year, the 15 year-old was 50 bucks a bottle.
