If so, where did you get it? TIA

ETA - Second guessing a lab due to its size as an indoor dog.

I just searched different sites on google that were selling puppies in my area. I found mine from a family that raises labs on their farm, and she has been an awesome dog since the day we got her!

I had one when I was a kid.

My dad bought it from this old guy that loved in the area where he goes hunting at...he was already trained to hunt.

I miss him

I've had 2. Both have been rescue dogs. First was dumped as a pup and my ex's friend brought him to us.

The one we have now, was with a family that couldn't handle him. Had him crated up all day and night, now he's out on farm but he doesn't venture out in the woods like the other dogs.

Best advice I can give ya on choco's is keep them bitches entertained. Everything I owned when Sheriff was a pup has teeth marks in it. They like being bad when they get bored, they'll get destructive. They seem to be a tad more protective than blacks or yellows. Choco's will stand their ground. Entertain them by allowing them to use their natural instincts to retrieve, swim, and track.

great dogs.

How much do they typically go for?

Are they more expensive than yellow labs?

Chocolate labs are dumb is a stupid myth. There is no learning curve difference for a chocolate, black, yellow lab

I have a chocolate lab myself, got her from a friends friend in Hammond. I would recommend going through a reputable breeder if you are looking breed them or hunt a lot. Otherwise they are great dogs who whoever you get one from.

My seem like a lot to pay initially, but the money will be saved down the line with saved expenses from vet fees, medicines, other bs. Good luck
