It depends on how big you are. Fat dudes love jerseys.

Forget the damn fashion critics on here, wear your jersey.

I agree generally with that Grantland article written about a year ago--only children and the woman fricking a given player should wear jerseys.
That said, I think it's also acceptable for all women, children, and direct family members to wear jerseys of players, espescially college players.
Would I do it? No.

Look at me! I know someone who plays for LSU and have apparently never been to a game in Tiger Stadium!

Clearly, you should base your fashion decisions on what the herd does. Baaaaa Baaaaa.. Any sort of independence in thought or in action would clearly be hazardous to your health and emotional well-being. No sheep wants to stray from the herd.
Men, on the other hand, don't care what other men wear. They wear what the frick they want. I wear my #3 Kevin Faulk jersey and if you don't like it, then you can go piss up a rope for all I care.
Maybe you dedicated followers of fashion should be on 'metrodroppings.com' instead. I hear they have lots of articles on looking like the other guys, skin care products, chest waxing do's and don'ts, and mani/pedi product evaluations.

Have not worn a jersey since I was a kid. Other than playing HS sports, have not worn one since I was 11.

I'm not a jersey person, but I think if my relative played.. my entire family would be wearing the jersey. I think.

I know we have beat this in the ground but lets just say that you have a nephew that plays, would you wear his jersey?
Been a while since I been to a game, do they sell beer outside during tailgating or should I just bum from our great fans or can you bring a small throw away cooler.
Wear the jersey. I think it's appropriate when family is playing whether son, grand son, or nephew.
As far as cooler. I like to bring one of the nicer soft coolers to tailgate. If I can't leave it at the tailgate for any reason, I'll stash it under a bush on my way to stadium. It makes carrying the cooler more comfortable(shoulder strap). I've done this for almost 20 yrs and only lost one. And that was b/c I forgot which bushes I put it in.

Only if you are a Mother (by blood) of one or more of the current LSU player(s) should a jersey be worn.

I wore my cousin's uniform when he played for LSU but it was mainly because my last name was on it so it was pretty gangsta

Uncle Tiger
Do u really give a shite about what people think of your clothes at a game?
Grow up. Wear what makes u comfortable.

If you care what strangers think, then don't wear it. If you're proud of your nephew, wear it.

Hell yes, support your family and your university. Those that think they are too cool to do so are arrogant fricktards.
