I wish they would make them sign through FB so we can see what their pics look like. I wonder how many asians, hispanics, arabs, blacks, and Native Americans signed.

Yal really think the military would side with BO and his idiots, have yall been watching the news. We have a volunteer army dont forget that, listen to BO and attack your family, I think most would not. And yes, they wouldn't shut down the river or turn off the spigots but the US would have to start paying for it instead of charging for it.
Yes, I believe the US Military would do the duty that they signed up for and protect/support the United States and its President. Most of the military is not anti-American and is certainly not as opposed to our representative democracy as the "successionists.""

It's funny how we want other countries to VOTE and respect the VOTE. Have fair elections, blah blah.

Because there is no precedent for peaceful secession amirite? I mean, it's not like South Sudan just peacefully seceded from North Sudan or anything. Or that there is going to be a vote in Scotland for the dissolution of their role in the United Kingdom.

I don't think you understand just what a keystone louisiana is. We control 1/4 of the total natural gas reserves. Nearly all of it flows through just a series of pipelines that run to the northeast through the state. ALL of America's coffee comes through New Orleans. Nearly ALL foreign oil comes through New Orleans or Houston. Just on my own property in South Louisiana, there is a pipeline, though which 1/8 of our natural gas supplies flow. I, just me by myself, could sabotage that one line and watch New England freeze to death. Louisiana would be THE power broker of the world. Throw in Texas, Arkansas, and Oklahoma and you have an energy alliance that would dominate the other 46 remaining states' energy supplies. Without those states, the country quickly gets very dark and very cold.

Do you really think the US would not instantly shut off the LOOP? Do you really think the US would not enforce ownership of all existing oil rigs in federal waters? Do you really think that the majority of Louisiana would support secession?

Under specific circumstances (which do not exist today), sure.

none of that happens because the government knows the chaos that would ensue during all the fighting as a result of the lapse oil production and trade in the river. People would end up going hungry and freezing to death and gas rationing would run rampant in the NE again.

You might not understand how valuable Louisiana is to the country, but the Feds sure do.

Sounds like a lot of people exercising their first amendment right. Not really something to be embarrassed about. I am kind of embarrassed for all of the people who would want our Nobel Peace prize winning president to bomb another country for their oil. I thought the reason he was elected was that he wasn't Bush? Or was everyone talking about skin color and not ideologies?

You are correct kingBob. I worked the oilfields and know them well. 90% of major pipelines supplying commodities to the rest of the nation emanate from Texas and Louisiana. Here is a link to a map for those who are public school educated (the blue lines are interstate pipelines - that means those are the ones that feed the Yankee Nation - they all START FLOW in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and spread outward): LINK Now all of you out-of-staters - why look at those little blue lines, most of them start from - shazam! - offshore Louisiana and Texas and flow right into Louisiana and Texas, processed, then flows across our borders to all you ignorant Yankee masses north of us. SOUTHERNERS - KNOW YOUR STRENGTH AND POWER! I say tax every unit of energy leaving our "State" borders - i.e. all flow on interstate pipelines. We would not need "fed" funds. To hell with that crap game - we would be way better off - have them honor the 10th Amendment or secede.

Louisiana is a drain on the rest of the country, I'd be glad to trade it straight up for Puerto Rico.

LOLWUT? Plenty of people say stupid shite that they absolutely have a right to say, doesn't mean they shouldn't be embarrassed to have said it. ALso, we have a right to make fun of their dumb asses. LA will NOT secede because people with actual brains realize that the first big hurricane would put them out of business. Well among other reasons.
