Is Ponchy going in house, or will they open it up? I saw them at the Lakeshore 7 on 7 and they looked like they had some good looking players.

No idea and as far as I know its only a rumor that Tierney is hanging it up. I hope they let him have some imput into the hire. I have zero faith in the powers that be that they will make a good hire. Ponchy does have some good players and the program will only get better if they get a good coach and most importantly support from the administration. They will never win a state championship but there is no reason Ponchy can't make the playoffs ever year.

Yes Tierney is the coach. Biamonte stepped down two years ago I believe.

Beleive it or not Ponchy does have the talent to compete for a title. They are loaded with athletes and their freshman/jv class is scary. They are just missing everything else.. Not sure about the Hank rumors but I do know Lakeshore is now open..

Not sure of the freshman and JV talent level. But I have to disagree on having the talent to compete for a state title. My sports world would be complete if I could see my Green Wave play in the Dome for a state title but I just can't see it ever happening.

Its not that level but last year they beat dutchtown ( it wasn't a fluke ) then lead barbe at the half in the playoffs. They can hang for awhile with these teams but the talent isn't good enough to beat them outside of a occasional upset.

Westgate needs to hire Brent Indest away from Carencro. They would be in the Dome within a few years and he would finally coach in his hometown.
