The United States should be leading the world into the exploration of other worlds. It his hardly a waste of money...but again...narrow minded people like you will certainly not be able to understand the advantages of a robust space program.
I agree with our need to explore but do we need to keep racking up the debt right now? I know my priorities are probably all fricked up but I'm not a fan of increasing debt without even coming up with a plan to pay for it.

Adherence to Islam will be a prerequisite for becoming part of the moon base team. Finding Mecca 5 times a day may be a problem when the base is facing away from the Earth though.

Not yet, but we need to have a military outpost just in case. That way we can have unmanned rovers equipped with rpg's at a moment's notice in the event that Martians produce a video that is unflattering to Muhammad.

Here is a good article that gives both sides of the argument. I was mainly citing logic in that, since the population hadnt reached 1 billion until 1830 and it is 7 billion now, eventually there will be no more room(but probably resources will run out sooner) for continuing population growth.

I mean NASA engineers probably dont know shite about the ocean and oceanographers probably dont know crap about space. So lets let everyone study what they got their PhD in and kill 2 birds with one vastly in dept economy
