Wiltz, you a dem?

I'm not too much on high fence for whitetails. Hunt with some guys in Texas that go kill 300" deer in a fence and then brag about it. They also cape bucks and throw the meat away.

What I have learned from this thread is that gotta get a barrel and some fish.

I feel very much the same way about it.

my uncle wants to shoot a cow so bad. I have no idea why.

When I was a kid, we were trying to load a steer up to bring it to the slaughter house in Stonewall, and we couldn't catch the damn thing. My dad went in and called the butcher and asked if they took dead cows.

My dad and pow pow come out and my dad has a .22 and pow pow has his trusty Winchester model 12 16 gauge.

My dad shot him at about 20 yards right in the forehead with the .22 and he dropped like a rock. We scooped him up with a front end loader and put him on a trailer

To this day, I laugh wondering I powpow ha squirrel shot or what in the old 16 gauge.

You can have both if you have thousands of acres.

I don't want both. I'm not interested in farming deer. Keeping up barbed wire is bad enough. frick keeping up with a 10ft tall hog pen.

Shocker of the year, heh?

White, raised in the South, hunts and fishes plus college educated and votes Liberal?

The election is over and I did vote Obama. I'm not a flag waving extreme leftist. By most measures I'd be considered left on economics, moderate/left on social/environmental issues and right on foreign policy.

Unlike some here, I regard politics as something deeply personal and typically choose to keep it to myself. I didnt follow through on that in the heat of the election and thats rubbed a few folks the wrong way.

OG and a few others took offense when I stated my position there are two types of people in life. Those who face challenges and succeed and those that whine when things dont go their way. I chose the word "pussies" to describe the whiners and that probably wasnt my finest moment...

The same could be said of the extreme right..

Let's not rehash the arguments of the election. There are still a lot of folks unhappy with the election and I'd just assume not salt any wounds.

I would not pay for a high fence shoot

I would go shoot one if you were paying

I would not consider that a trophy and would tell people it was a high fence kill before I showed them the picture and feel anyone who does go high fence shooting should do the same

I do enjoy quail shoots, and have even been on a few duck shoots, again those were fun and I always fully disclose how those birds were killed

The good news: liberalism is a disease, and it's not your fault.

The bad news: there is no cure.

Sorry man.
