quote: quote: In an election that often focused on debates about class warfare, President Barack Obama was favored over multimillionaire businessman Mitt Romney in eight of the nation’s 10 wealthiest counties.
And his margin of victory in all eight counties was greater than that of the national vote, in which Obama was leading by 50 percent to 48 percent with 97 percent of precincts reporting.
The findings are based on a CNBC.com analysis of Census Bureau numbers on average annual household income from 2006-2011 and results from Tuesday’s elections.
Yet Republicans claim Obama's waging class war against the wealthy
Poor working class & Southern Whites buy this garbage hook, line & sinker & continue to vote against their own economic interests.
Poor & working class Republicans have been used by the GOP .

Exactly. If the GOP didn't put on airs of being the "Christian" party, then the rural Bible-thumpers out there would have no reason left to vote for them. They keep rural white non-wealthy people in the fold by selling them a bunch of insincere God-talk and scaring them with sensationalist garbage designed to feed their xenophobia.

Ok guys 7 of those communities are huge banking areas - of course they are going to vote Obama - he saved their asses and as long as QE exists and no white collar criminals are going to jail they will keep the status quo. The other 3 are DC suburbs that likely make money from big government.
