Up here it's the weather and terrain. There are no roads into a lot of towns (including Juneau) so to get anywhere you fly or float. Flying is a normal, common and frequent mode of transportation. The mountains,wind and clouds do their best to keep you grounded one way or another.

Got in one on the way to the game this last Sat. Young woman pulled out in front of me so fast I did not have time to brake or swerve. Totaled both cars. No one in their car got hurt. I have a broken collar bone, a badly bruised and swollen knee on one leg, a sprained ankle on the other, a sprained wrist, and a concussion to the right side of my head. Right side of face is beat up. Attorney is going after the insurance co on my behalf. Physical recoop time is estimated at two months - so Thanksgving and Christmas will be very different for me this year. Good thing is that I am still alive. Damn it hurts like hell to move about.

I rear ended your mom once. Both parties were determined to be at fault so no legal action was taken.
Seriously, have been fortunate enought to only have wrecks on a track.

Didn't sneak around the curb too well after I fell asleep. Woke up on going through it, cut back and over-corrected. Went through a 3' ditch, missed a culvert by less than a foot and started flipping. Was unconscious for a good while. Didn't even know where I was when I woke up in the middle of burned sugar cane field.

2 1/2 years later I bought a similar truck to the one I wrecked since I liked it so much. Was leaving the Boardwalk in Bossier, went around a curb and she came into my lane before I had time to blink.
Chick was high as a kite.

Same with my son. Single vehicle accident. My son was wearing a seatbelt and was killed. His friend didn't have a seatbelt on and walked away. Life doesn't make sense sometimes.

Nah. The police report on the worst I've been in said the car only rolled 8 times and flipped end over end twice.
I'm not sure what all the fuss was about.

Guy on a sport bike w/o a helmet hit me going 55mph. He got thrown about 20 yards into a pole and the bike another 25 yds or so.
Broke his leg and lost a lot of blood.
