Atlanta looks very beatable as well even in Atlanta. If we get by these next 2 weeks unscathed and 7-5, watch out.

Tampa still has to play Atlanta twice

Man, it sucks, but the biggest problem is that TB plays ATL in week 17 when they are almost certain to be resting starters.

HUGE scheduling bump for TB. That's why we really needed them to lose yesterday.

I believe we CAN run the table, but it's just much more likely that we run out of gas a week and end up 10-6.

Even if we beat TB, that still leaves them with 5 losses. So they need another loss.

Better happen this week against ATL because no way it happens week 17.

If we win out, and TB finishes with five losses, we win the tiebreaker over them because we would have swept the head to head.

That's a huge if.

Finishing 10-6 would mean we've won 10 of our last 12 games. Unbelievable accomplishment.

I think that's a much more reasonable expectation, so I'm hoping the teams with 4 losses can lose 2 more so we have a shot at 10-6

Not really.

Bottom line is this: we need to beat Tampa and Dallas. We do that, then we have the tiebreaker over them.

We need Seattle to lose at least one more, and I THINK that if we beat SF, we might have the tiebreaker over them.

But what I REALLY want to see happen is this:

-Saints win out.
-Tampa sweeps Atlanta.
-Atlanta loses one additional game.

Yes. I also think that a lot of saints fans are overlooking Tampa. They are playing well. They need to drop a game or two. This weekend was very disappointing with so many close games. That Tampa game was one of them. frick the panthers.

Thank god we beat them in Tampa already, they have to come into the Dome, i think we go 3-0 at home the rest of the season.

Tampa won't be an easy out. I hope we win convincingly, but they are really playing well in both the run and passing game. We just need to get better week to week. I'm still not happy with the way our defense gives up huge chunks at times. They have gotten exponentially better, but still get gashed.

I don't think that anyone said or even implied as much.

pretty easy to believe according to history oh ye of little faith

'09- 13 straight wins in a row
'10- 6 in a row
'11- 9 in a row & 4 in a row

When the defense get beyond abominable, just out of the basement towards kinda average, just a flash now n then, this team can roll hard

I'm far from a nega-Saint blues. Hell, I'm the one who's been.trying to pump up our D as improving the past few weeks.

Like I said, it certainly CAN happen that we win out.

I'm just planning for the possibility that we may drop one and finish 10-6.

I know, just wanted to throw the phrase n stats out

more precisely we've moved up to 15% chance of making the playoffs
playoff probabilities

that might sound disheartening but it's a long ways from the 1% chance at 0-4. Most prolly know but only one 0-4 team has ever made the playoffs. I'm just riding on hope and enjoying the ride. Turning this season into something quite historic wouldn't surprise me tho. Many might think the talk of how good the locker room is, how many smart players, and how many leaders are on this team is just the usual sports/media babble. In this case I think we are seeing the proof. Just imagine both the media and the teams if the cowgirls or NYJ had started 0-4. It's quite a testament to what we have here beyond straight talent.

With ya all the way bud.

This run is as fun as any we've been on imo given the way everything was stacked against us and people absolutely giving up on us.

I would just love to see this group get a shot in playoffs.

Go to SF or Seattle for a little payback in wild card round.

Then to ATL for divisional round.

Then on to GB or Chicago, where we havent won in forever, for the NFCCG with the chance to come home to The Dome for the Super Bowl.

Dear God I would love to see this team get those opportunities.

Tampa still has:

Falcons
Broncos
Saints
Eagles
Rams
Falcons

I bet they go 3-3 in that stretch
