No doubt. Nothing like holding the 3rd worst red zone scoring team in the league to 0-5. Flex those muscles Saints' D. Red Zone Scoring

I should know.
I am one.

You only think that because you're here, and because you post on a tigers website (we know TD has diverged a lot from just being a tigers site, but that's still the foundation and where every idiot goes to "rant")

Even if that's the case, you just admitted the people who go to the rant are idiots.

And ST shares the site with them.

So, yes, the rant posters are worse than the ST posters.

No, he didn't. He said idiots go there to rant. Not that the rant is all idiots. Take a reading comprehension course.

The rant seems to have a larger diversity of posters. Saints Talk is filled with a bunch of tools who think they own the place and that their posts on an internet message board are so wonderfully insightful and relevant they must be preserved at all costs. All non-STers threads must be whacked so we can stay on the front page.

No, but sounds like you are still butthurt about LSU fans not liking Ingram.

Get over it already.

Wait, he took my comment and repeated it? In response to an off-topic, ignorant, unrelated comment?

A win is a win

but Im not sure I've ever seen a team more dysfunctional that the Eagles last night

so again, WIN IS GREAT

but the Saints got pushed around alot and that doe not bode well for a "run" that we may all be holding out for, even in the deepest depth of our soul that we won't admit

always great to win but man Philly is horrid

A lot of you (mostly those with "LSU" after your name) are looking at last night's victory in a negative light, and for that, I must question your football knowledge, or common sense in general. The Defense gave up 477 yards. Yes, they did. They also gave up just 13 points. The game isn't won by how many yards you rack up, yardage is an overrated stat. Our defense prevented the Eagles to turn those yards into points, and THAT is a very valid point. But the Eagles o-line sucks. Yes, the do, and our defense took full advantage of it. I think it would have been disturbing to see the defense struggle to get pressure on Vick knowing their o-line sucks. Vick had only been sacked 7 times one other time in his career, and that was when he was with the Falcons. "7 sacks by the Saints defense is like 14 with a regular defense". frick you Steve Young. No other team has sacked Vick 7 times this season, even the Championship Giants. If you choose to look at last night's win in a negative point of view, by all means, it's your right, but you're missing the much larger picture. The defense is improving, and I believe the Saints are beginning to hit their stride. They're not oblivious, they know they have a mountain to climb, but they are not out of contention yet, they have not given up, and get the Falcons on Sunday. WHO DAT?!

The only relevant question is how you think this defense is going to perform moving forward.

And if you think that this defense has turned the corner than I'm going to have to disagree. We were fortunate to be playing a team that had an OL that is basically worse than our historically bad defense.

It was the best defensive performance of the year. I just don't think it is indicative of how many points we will give up moving forward unfortunately.

Our wins are going to have to come from our offense going from very good to great.

No way will this work. That defense is gonna have to at least make some stops or get some turnovers. The offense will also need to be on point every game. It is still a longshot, but we are still in this.

I am always happy about a win. But our defense didn't exactly stop them, more like their offense stopped themselves for the most part. We got a gimme rd off of a tipped ball. We are not much better than Philly, thru injuries, they have the worst line ever to play!

Last night Philly had 6.2 yards per play.

The Saints were at 6.9

Somehow our defense is the worst ever.

I've noticed that the majority of posts talking sheeite about LSU fans are created by people with Lafayette in their name. That's all I'm saying.

Giving up 470+ yards a game and 229 points over the season merits that label. But let's throw out sample size. What does that matter anyway?

This is relative though. They were playing against Drew Brees and one of the best offenses in the NFL. We were playing an animal abuser led dumpster fire with a cardboard cutout oline.
