Yes, LSU has recruited very well for a long period of time...and yes, we have been fortunate to have a loaded team full of talent.

Guess what? USC, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Florida State, Ohio State, Clemson, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, Oregon, etc. all have sustained just as high of a ranking if not higher in recruiting year in and year out much like we have. Outside of Alabama, neither of these teams have had the sustained success translated on the field as LSU. Some have even had losing seasons. To think we should go undefeated every season because we have a lot of talent is obsured. Poke your head outside of the state line every now and then people.

Hats off to the great coaching job Les Miles has done over the years esp THIS season considering some circumstances. I don't always agree with him and some of the calls from last Saturday still pain me, but his formula works so I will not question him.

The experts say so. The NFL talent evaluators say so.

Oregon, Clemson, and Michigan do not recruit liek the other teams.

We are more talented than most teams we play, that is what is said. We only play two of these teams every year. Florida and Bama are equally as talented. Oregon USC good offense no D. I see Michigan up there that cant be right.

And how many of them do we play each year? 3-4? 75% of the teams we play we have an overwhelming talent advantage....probably closer to 90-95%

These teams have ALL recruited worst than we have in the past 5 years.

No, they don't. They say LSU has a lot of talent, which we do, but not way more than other teams. The only team that comes close to having experts saying they way out talent everyone else is Alabama.

Just from last year's draft, who had more guys drafted, LSU or Alabama? Who had more first rounders? LSU has a ton of talent, but not way more than other elite teams.

Michigan has a top 5 class for this year. Oregon does not have the talent base. Clemson recruits about top 15-20 talent and that's pretty much where they finish.

Been saying this for a while now. Bama has a pretty large gap talent wise then everyone else. Texas, Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, Ohio state, USC, Florida state all have just as much or more. One thing to note though, I think our staff does a better job evaluating talent then any other staff in the country, including bama. That is a testimony to miles and his leadership.

You also forgot to add that we have done all this while being in the toughest division in the history of college football.

On our schedule this year, Alabama is the only team with equal or better talent.

Florida is still trying to recover from the mess urban left, but Douchechamp is recruiting like a beast.

That still makes us CLEARLY better than 10/12 teams on our schedule (83%) and at least equal to the other 2.

We play 2-4 teams each year with equal talent, Florida, Bama and sometimes Georgia. What is your point? OU plays 1 team per year equal talent. Texas 1 team per year. Ohio State...zero. Florida...2-4. Bama...1 or 2. etc. FIRE MILES!

And we beat those 8-9 teams over 95% of the time. The only teams we've lost to under miles that fall in that category are: 2007 UK and maybe Ark who did have 3 star RB's 2 that were frist rounders. 2008 and 2009 Ole Miss, though our talent was down in those years, and maybe 2010 Ark who had a star QB, was on the road and they did go 10-2 and make a BCS Bowl. That's it. all the other teams we've lost to are in that 3-4 and we;ve beaten those teams just as much as they've beaten us.

Um, FSU had the #1 recruiting class last year. FSU has been top 3 for a couple years now.

We do have talent, but you're right - so do lots of other teams. Every year.

I think we just get frustrated sometimes watching the offense get stymied, for example, when we see a team like [insert almost any team] piling up yards somewhere else and wonder why our guys can't do the same thing. (and there are lots of reasons, like opponent quality, injuries, etc)

But the proof is in the results, and I agree our coaches get it done! Our team doesn't quit, and I believe our offense has turned a corner and can just get better - here's hoping we prove it again this weekend!

(Can you imagine how frustrating it would be to be a Texas fan right now?)

it's a depth thing. problem is, you can only have 11 kids on the field at one time. our overall record is a testament to that depth and the recruiting effort it took to create it. that said, just about every SEC saturday we face teams with equal or close to equal talent in their top 22....we normally win with depth by wearing people down.

right and this year we are 0-2 against those teams. But there are factors beyond the coaches control, like injuries that contributed to the Florida loss.

Because people refuse to give Miles the credit he deserves with this program. I don't care how he sounds in interviews, I don't care how he comes across, he has done an amazing job keeping LSU at this level. Yes, he has to recruit. A lot of people make excuses that LSU is the easiest place to win at, these people are ignorant and hopeless. And I'm referring to some LSU fans out there.

The reality is, Miles has kept LSU going post-Saban. And he remains the only freaking coach in the country who expects his team to beat Bama. He is not without criticism, but Miles is doing a great job and deserves all the credit for the state of the LSU program since 2005.

We've been really hit by injuries and suspensions this year. It's like some people just completely dismiss that. Still a solid team playing underclassmen.

Most coaches don't develop their talent like LSU and Bama. Ex. AU has recruited almost as well and they suck.
