Now you know what the LSU--Southern Cal game was like in 1979; just like this game--all the way down to USC being #1, the fury of the crowd, LSU ahead, and the final bitter blow. But reading Van Pelt's words I'm reminded of what the AP writer wrote for his post game article--"the loss came as a bitter blow to the LSU fans who had screamed themselves into a frenzy."
