Last night the Cowboys had 80yds to go with 17 seconds left. I know the time is way different so spare me the rantarded shite. Anyway, Atlanta got into what they call an Umbrella coverage. They rushed 3 and put 8 in the "umbrella." This coverage pretty much gives them the 5-8 yard pass but it puts guys by the sidelines to keep them in bounds. I watched this shite screaming on the inside that that's exactly what LSU should have been doing Saturday. The coverage looks like this:

You know the clock stops in college for them to re-set the chains? Bama could have scored 5 tds in 1:50 vs. that D.

That looks like the alignment for the final play. On the down before, I don't think they had anyone in the middle of the field at all. It was along the sidelines every 10-15 yards and then a couple around the 15 yard line.

More-so than time, the situation was different in that the Cowboys HAD to have a TD. LSU needed to defend for the FG as well. Obviously what we did, didn't work, but these situations are apples and oranges.

No shite. McCarron would've been forced to make quick throws to the middle of the field though and the clock only stops until the ball is set so they wouldn't have been able to huddle. They got out of bounds twice in the final drive. His completions were 18, 15, 11 & 28yds.
