The roles were reveresed last year, they dominated the stat sheet but lost the game. We said too damn bad, we won.

I think we know what they felt last year, or is this different? If so, how?

. Difference is Bama played like a top 2 team all year last year. We played better Saturday but can make no claim to be the better team based on the body of work.

After the game this was the first thing that went into my mind. I felt like we played the better game and lost just as Bama did last year.

I do not know who is the better team, but we played a better game than I could have expected. I thought we would win but I didn't think we would play as well as we did.

Gives me mixed feelings but overall, Im excited about the future of this team and next years.

No and this is complete BS to compare.

The 2011 game was extremely even.

No, we're not Bama.

LSU had their chance to put the game away and didn't. Instead we opted to move to a prevent defense and give a 10 yard cushion. We were outcoached in the last 2 minutes of each half, that ended up being the difference.

YES
Saban lost the game last year with bad decisions, and Miles lost this game with bad decisions.

If the rolls are reversed shouldn't we get a rematch?

I think we should, that second half LSU absolutely dominated untill 90 sec until end of the game. We beat them in every category except rushing yards(30yrds)/sacks/obviously points.

Why aren't we screaming for a rematch like they did when they lost. Let's start the hype now.

although I didn't agree last year, I do now. $atan made dumb calls and tried all of those fg's. Les did the same and it hurt him twice, since the fake fg didn't result in points.

To be fair, Les did the same thing against A&M. Kicked a long fg that didn't work and gave the other team a short field.

This was NOTHING like last year and LSU deserved to win the first game. Go look at the stats. We outrushed them by 50+ yards last year, held them to under 100 rushing and had the ball for 12 seconds less than they did (not to mention we reached the Bama red zone three times to their one trip inside our red zone at the 17). We almost scored a TD twice and they never came close. They just had 50+ more yards of total offense - that was it.

They missed a few 50+ yard FGs that they shouldn't have even attempted because their kicker didn't have that kind of leg.

LSU ran 93 plays and held the ball for almost 40 minutes of the game this weekend while racking up 430+ yards of offense with no turnovers to Bama's two turnovers. LSU dominated in that aspect and had questionable coaching decisions. The bottom line is Bama had more points so they get the win. We needed one stop. You have to give them credit for making it happen. LSU played a hell of a game though.

We were fortunate in 2011...and Saban coached scared and made stupid calls

Bama was fortunate on Saturday and Miles coached thinking he needed to pull off a few trick plays to win game. Turns out, we didn't.

I'll agree with that as soon as they schedule our do-over for "outplaying" Alabama and leaving points on the board. After wall, we just missed a few field goals and had more yards.
