He's been beyond awful. I get that he's a character guy, team player, etc, but he's been just putrid in pretty much every aspect.

I dont watch much college basketball. He is more of a shooting guard right? I would think he could, ya know, shoot.

Not really. He is a Westbrook type combo guard but he is not nearly as talented as Westbrook.

LINK

He's good with the ball in his hands but doesn't have much game without it. 24% on catch and shoot will not get it done

To be fair, he shouldn't be in the position of having to start and make so many shots if it wasn't for a certain other shooting guard.

Austin Rivers's FG% skyrockets after his 4 of 12 performance tonight. Rivers is now 4 of 25 for a sweet 16%. Hornets 2-1!

2-1 is awesome.

Rivers best game of the season at 33 percent.

Yet, 3 games in. It'll get better. He actually looked good today though.

Did people really expect Austin Rivers to come in and light it up in the NBA in his first 2-3 games? shite, Aminu was a #8 pick 2 years ago and is finally showing something.

Rivers also had 3 steals, 3 Rebounds, 2 assists and a block. He did a few things tonight beyond scoring. He played some reasonably good D tonight from what I saw. He D'd up on Rip a good bit and did well.

I was never a big proponent of drafting him, but he's trying hard and trying to do other things until he develops an offensive game.
