I like it. At least it isn't the Vulture. I expect to see the Osborn's in this one too.

Electro is supposed to be a pasty white dude. If they cast a black dude after not letting Donald Glover be Spiderman I'm gonna be pissed.

Pissed is way too strong of a word, but it is dumb.

Foxx is actually one of my favorite actors so this works for me (as a non-comic fan).

Foxx was never viewed as potential Luke Cage. There was talk that he was going to play villain Diamondback.

At least according to John Singleton.

The only Diamondback I am familiar with is Cap's ex girlfriend.

Kinda disappointing. Think they should have gone with Green Goblin. Not a big fan of Electro.

If I didn't go with Green Goblin, Mysterio would be the one I used.

Then Abed could play Venom and they could end up as a crime fighting duo that makes subtle pop culture references that most Americans (including one of their costars) don't quite get.

You guys are a bunch of haters

I think DG legitimately has the chops to pull off Spiderman. Not a troll.

They can go without Goblin this go round...I'd rather see Rhino, Kraven or Morlun.

"[The story with the parents] is the long shadow that’s cast over the three films," stated Webb, who made his directorial debut with 2009's (500) Days of Summer before taking on the reins of Sony's Spidey reboot. "I want these films to have a serialized component, and there’s a slow burn to that. I need to leave some juice for the second movie. That was one of the more exciting things about creating Spider-Man, was that I could create more than one and there was a serialized component to it... We’re taking it one at a time. I think one of the things I’ve learned… There are a lot of things that are harder than it seems, like designing the suit, for example. We’re doing some revising on that. We’re making some cool improvements on the suit."

Webb also went on to confirm that Electro is indeed the villain in this second instalment, stating that "I think Electro is an incredibly visual, exciting, dangerous villain. There is a lot of appealing stuff that is going to happen as the world emerges." Meanwhile, the director also went on to discuss the role that Oscorp will play in the upcoming sequel: "When I was thinking about the universe as a whole — and I talked about this with [screenwriter] James Vanderbilt way back in the day — that all crazy stuff in this universe emerges from Oscorp. Oscorp predates Spider-Man and Peter Parker. His parents were involved in some way. And Oscorp represents… The building itself, there was something iconic about it. To me it’s like the Tower of Babel, which is this testament to man’s hubris. Peter’s relationship will evolve with it over time. That was really one of the central components, one of the pieces that tied all these stories together, this relationship with Oscorp."

So, with Oscorp playing another crucial role in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, is there a chance that Norman Osborn could make his debut in the sequel alongside the previously confirmed Harry Osborn, or will we have to wait until the closing chapter of the trilogy to see Andrew Garfield's wall-crawler duking it out with the Green Goblin?

If they try to ghetto-ize him or make him a bit of a black militant, I think it could work well. Spiderman needs a good villain that's not another cracker.
