Disc 2 is a download disc. You can't play MP until that one is loaded.

I don't really know about that. I've only touched the MP and that's all I've used it for. Might just try loading it after the download and see what it says.
One of the reviews I read said they let the main screen just sit there so they could listen to the music all the way through.

It's all on disk one, and it's like the second option. Infinity or something like that. It you move to it, it will explain it's war games or something on the bottom. That's where you go for MP.

Absolutely love the game. Only played MP so far, but 2 things I absolutely hate:
1. The menus
2. Press "x" to respawn. Seriously? fricking hate this.

This is mainly because of the kill-cam, right? You can just let it play out and automatically respawn, I thought. Not sure why this is a big deal.

Just put in second disc, start it up and your only option is to install. Do that.
You cannot play any multiplayer until you install disc 2. After you install it, you wont ever have to touch it again. All the menus as well as the campaign are contained on the first disc. Multiplayer is on the second which will be installed once you do it.
Takes about 20 minutes to install.

Just don't like it. The kill cam is cool though.
Also,
3. No "x" where someone dies. Not a huge deal, but something I liked.
4. Getting shot should make you un-scope like it used to.
