So much talk about if LSU has any chance they will... Or LSU lacks such and such. I have never heard so much doubt since the Dinardo years. Bama is beating teams like they did in 2011. And our defense held them in check. Our offense has too start clicking, but we have the components to win.

Bama is better this year. Our offense better have made improvements. They definitely have the potential.

Me either. But then again, I've never heard Tigerrag radio at all. That might explain it.

I guess I don't get the negativity either, I remember thinking last November we are going in to Tuscalooser no way we come out with the win...Death Valley Saturday night drunks piled on top of drunks screaming at the top of their lungs...we win this year by a pick six...

Anyone paying attention about this game immediately notices two things:

1) Bama is playing very well on O. They're disciplined, balanced, and AJ hasn't thrown an int all year.

2) Our O is bad. Mett has been a letdown, our WRs have under-performed, our OL has been shuffled, 8 games into the season and we still show no sense of chemistry or identity.

I think we can win but to do so means we're going to have to make Bama play outside their comfort zone (very possible) and really elevate our play on O (TBD).

I mean up to this point, they have been more impressive than us in almost every way. We don't have to be the best team this year though, just the better team that day. If we play more physical, we can win, but the athletes are equally talented on each side. Cliche to say, but our guys have to want it more.

From a sports reporting perspective based on performances leading up to this game, you have to favor BAMA. They are simply a more complete team that plays essentially mistake free football. No, they haven't been tested and have not faced a Defense like LSU. However, they have won their games by an average of 19 points. No one has come close to even threaten them. A couple of plays here and there and LSU could easily be a 3 loss team. LSU has a chance, but it would be considered an upset. No question based on what we've seen this year, BAMA is the more complete team. Now they get to prove it in what is considered to be the most hostile environment in all of College Football. LSU will have something to say about it. Will it be enough? We shall see...

If I'm betting straight-up, I take Bama. With the points, I take LSU. Can we beat the Gumps? Of course, but if we play our normal offense, it will be difficult. The defense would have to be lights out and generating points.

If the Mad Hatter pulls some new offensive looks out of the hat, anything can happen.

The wildcard for me is whether the "Bama hasn't played anybody" argument has some legs.

All I know is that if any team can upset the #1 team in the country, it's LSU in Baton Rouge at night. Belee dat!
