They are getting knocked down because they are quick 3 step drops that put him.closer to the line of scrimmage. All opposing defenses know that we throw 80% short and they know they cannot get there with the pass rush. So the best way to defend this is to get their hands up.

Remember when Jamarcus used to throw too high and people said it was because he was so tall and the crown of the field caused it. I always thought it was funny, some of the bullshite excuses people came up with for why the qb doesn't get the job done.

That and the line on short routes should be cutting the D line.
