In Rumplestiltskin's castle was the scythe featured near the end of the final season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, albeit colored differently. In episode 8 the true name of "The Dark One" is Zoso which is also one of the symbols in the album Led Zeppelin IV.[34]
Henry has a Tron lunch box and Regina gave him a handheld video game device upon which he played Space Paranoids.
In the episode "Skin Deep," Mr. Gold confiscates a florist's truck which reads 'Game of Thorns' on the side, being a reference to Game of Thrones.
In the episode "Lady of the Lake," two significant allusions are seen. The first is to the Narnian series in which the "wardrobe" is the only portal
The other allusion is to the story of David and Goliath; Snow kills the ogre, "Goliath," in the eye.

A Game of Thorns is the name of the Florist shop that Belle's father runs. He had it written on his truck in the first season.

Wouldn't read much into this show from a religious angle. As much as I would love to see Aslan roll up in the joint and lay down the law, I don't see it happening at all.
A wildcard for the show is Oz and that whole lot. Disney owns the Oz rights now and they have their Oz: The Great and Powerful coming out next spring.

I have always sensed that there is a greater evil than anything we have seen to this point.. could the "greater evil" be Oz himself..?
Whatever it is, it's going to be an ancient evil.. maybe something, or someone, that created the Dark One, the Ogres, the Rathes etc. to begin with?

that was Renee from True Blood is what I was saying. No clue who he is in the series, but the common thought is he's Rumpelstiltskin's son.

Yeah he had dark hair and the guy who plays him is in his late 30's. Bae was what? 11? 12? the last time we saw him. He's probably been in NYC for about 30ish years now.

I thought that might be the case as well, here's the crazy thing though.. Bae would have been in the early years of Gold's years as the dark one. When he saw Regina years upon years later, Rumpelstiltskin said he knew Regina as a little girl.. that means Bae would have HAD to of been teleported to the same time frame as the Fairy Talers were.. but 100+ years before, in fairy tale land?! I hope they address that, IF it ends up being Bae.

that's a very hard question to answer.. to be honest, I wasn't sure if I would like it or not, it's got its pretty girly parts (it's about princes and princesses so yeah..) and the writing can be extremely cheesy, but I actually enjoy it, and have even found myself caring for certain characters more than even my wife does.. but yeah, it's just one of those "try and see" shows. It's more of a yuri and BA show.. and less of Fear and CP3 show if that makes sense?

If they are including bible characters, the writers definitely think the bible is more fairy tale and less religious.

I don't see any biblical characters in the show at all. Pretty much every character has had a place in the Disney history with Emma and Henry being the exceptions.

I didn't read the ogre scene as religious at all because there were at one time tons of ogres in the "ogre wars" mentioned previously. To me I didn't think of it any differently as when they stab the zombies in the eye socket in Walking Dead. It's just the easiest way to kill that particular thing.

You've posted that before deary. I never heard them call the ogre Goliath. That sounds like a heavy heavy reach. Like I said, no biblical characters are in the show. Sure they have references to outside stuff like Lost (former show on the same network), the GOT reference (popular show/best on tv), and Tron (Disney property), but all of the characters are part of some Disney canon except for Emma and Henry.
