If you're in BR, I'd take I-110 to US-190 to Opelousas then I-49 south to Laffy and get back on I-10 there.

short cut - when u get to beaumont go to conroe, Tx then to aggie land - this avoids going thru houston

I just came from Livonia back to BR. West-bound traffic is a NIGHTMARE. It's backed up for miles (maybe 5 miles by now) and very heavy after that all the way from Livonia to BR on 190. I don't know what it's like beyond Livonia (came down from Morganza).

I pity you fans driving west. Good luck.
