Justice League Movie Set To Shoot In The Summer For 2015 Launch

Looks like WB is setting dates and previous info leaked is confirmed.
I think rushing this out and reversing the "Marvel" process is a bad idea but I guess we'll see. It will be interesting to see what kind of Batman we see and if the Man of Steel coming out next year will be tied in to this or will we see a different Superman for the JL movie.

Warner hopes to shoot the film next year and release it in the summer of 2015. The studio already has a Justice League script in the works. Next it needs to attach a director and then cast the lead roles.

he studio’s plan is to spin out other superheroes into their own movies following Justice League. That’s contrary to Marvel’s successful strategy of teaming up Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Captain America in Avengers (which became a global blockbuster) after each character had his own film.

Not sure that's going to work

I'm going to have to disagree. While I would rather DC/Warners would follow the exact same plan as Marvel have done so far, one advantage DC has here, an advantage Marvel did not have, is recognizable characters. Aside from maybe Captain America and the Hulk, the general movie audience probably had no clue who Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye were. Marvel NEEDED intro movies to build to The avengers. DC doesn't need this in the same way.
Everyone knows Superman (and yes, they damn sure better use Henry Cavill as Superman in JL). Though it will be another actor, everyone knows Batman. And Wonder Woman. A good number probably remember Flash. And despite the poor box office performance, Green Lantern is at least recognizable, and if done well, can save the character and lead into more films the same way as the Hulk was done in Avengers. DC having infinitely more (somewhat) well known characters gives them the ability to use JL movie as a springboard to solo films in a way that Marvel could in no way have risked. Done well, I think Justice League can work out just fine.

As long as the product is good I don't care how they arrive there. Doing Marvel's approach would have us not seeing a movie until 2017 or so. I think they get the importance of how good this movie has to be. Also won't it be better to find out how the characters work on-screen before giving them their own feature? Just excited as hell I will finally see this.

It's not that they're unfamiliar it's that their stories won't be compelling. Wonder Woman can't be done without it being silly looking. Everybody knows the Flash but his power is being fast, you really think they can get a whole movie out of that? It's going to be Superman and a bunch of meh movies like Green Lantern or worse IMO.

The Justice League movie can work but I have doubts about the rest of them.

Yeah, not likely to be quality.

Ridiculous. Wonder Woman could be the best of them all. Think 300 with hot girls mixed with Steve Trevor/fighter pilot and the military/industrial complex. Like any good film, it will depend on the writing and the direction.

That won't look ridiculous at all

I am partial to women that are beautiful and kick arse...what can I say?

I don't think this is enough time to put their cinematic world together.

I am wary as well, especially after the last cast they put together a few years ago that didn't make it to production. But I will have hope until I see crap on the screen. Hopefully the lessons of Nolan and the Avenger's franchise will lead them to greatness.

this
I much prefer the way Marvel did things.
A JL movie is going to have to give intros to Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Martin Manhunter and will have to somewhat reboot Batman and Green Lantern.
I also disagree that WW and Flash are any more known than Thor and Iron Man were for the Avengers.
If they do the rumored BS where the JL Superman is not the same as the one in the new Supes flick that is coming out it will be even more jacked up.
Warner is very frustrating. They have had the rights to all these characters seemingly making it easy to do a cinematic universe and yet they always seem to have their heads up their asses when it comes to making comic movies sans Nolan's involvement.
I fear this will be much more like the shitastic Batman and Robin abomination that looked like t was made purely to sell toys.

Only thing I request is that Wonder Woman better be fine as fucx

If they use the same Superman(and they should) and that's "based in reality" then how do they expect a JL movie based in reality?

Sounds like a whole bunch of suck. Hopefully they at least use Vincent Chase as Aquaman.
The big thing about it is that Superman (and GL I guess) are drastically more powerful than everyone else. The Avengers only had Hawkeye and whoever the frick Scarjo was as lesser characters. Iron Man,Hulk,Thor, and to a lesser extent Captain America were at least reasonably close in terms of power.
The Singer Superman and GL movies were a bust, and a movie about the Flash or Wonder Woman would be 10x worse.

Superman
WonderWoman
Green Lantern
Aquaman
Flash
Martian Manhunter or Cybrog
Batman
Black Canary
Green Arrow
Hawkman
I only count 3(if you go 7) at best being lesser characters and Batman being one of them.

I don't see any reason why Thor can work, but Wonder Woman can't.

I don't see why. Yes, Supes and GL are powerful as hell, but I'd say the Flash is powerful as hell, and can take down 100 bad guys in less than a minute. Hawkgirl would be like a flying Thor minus the lightning.
And actually Superman is probably not the most powerful of the JL: That goes to Martian Manhunter. He can transfigure, he's telekinetic, can control minds, super strong, and phase through objects. If he didn't have that strict "no-kill" rule, then I'd put him against any other Superhero, sans Batman. He does have a glaring weakness to fire though, which is significantly more abundant than kryptonite.

Yea, just set most of her movie in the Amazonian world she came from.
