I don't think you can really make a clear choice...given what everyone thought was on the line at the time, the LSU win in November at B-D was extremely impressive. Bama completely dominated 1/9, but I think that game was won the minute the matchup was announced, and LSU just didn't show up.

Yes, LSU's win on 11/5 was big, but seriously, 1/9 was the BCSNCG. Alabama thoroughly dominated LSU in that game unlike what LSU did on 11/5. Many people thought the better team did not win on 11/5 and used 1/9 to confirm that argument.

BTW I was sent over here because a post on the SEC Rant talked about this thread and I wanted to see what was up.

Each and every game has its own dynamics and feel. Surely you know that. Those 2 play ten times they split 5 apiece-at the worst 6/4...if you're objective.

He has a bruised knee, he came back in the game after it happened and ran the ball and looked fine. He has practiced the last two days and been fine. /story

It's a story because Alabama isn't #1 without AJ..

If he gets clipped against UT, it won't hurt LSU fans feelings...

we have had numerous injuries this year..plus you guys got a do over and didn't win the SEC last year...so just take a hick back to the SEC rant

I played an entire season on the DL with a partially torn meniscus. Painful yes, but with a brace I was able to sustain plenty of chop blocks without having to be done for the season.

He's a QB, he likely won't be subjected the same level of contact as a DL would.

Even IF this were true, he could easily play QB for the rest of the season assuming it got no worse.

btw he looked fine in practice today simply wearing a brace.

So it's a theoretical/fictional story? Ok, have fun with it then.

I disagree. Bama could probably run the ball and wildcat it the entire game against Tenn and still hang 45+ without much effort.

It all depends on the extent of the tear (obviously). Some meniscus tears don't even need surgery. Your meniscus is like an onion and when it tears to a significant extent it slides which will cause your knee to "go out".

That all said, I have a hard time believing that if they legitimately thought there was anything to the knee injury they would've marched him to the locker room with a quickness during that game. I was watching and they pretty much just slapped a brace on it and rolled with it. I don't know that they would have him practising at full speed on it either given his status with the team (starting QB). It just doesn't add up to me.

What you've got to do is cut the hamstring on the back of his leg right at the bottom. He'll never play football again, because his weight displacement goes back, all his weight is on his right foot, and he'll throw everything off to the right. He'll never come through on anything. He'll quit the game.
