Like I said, just getting some info on my team. I knew I'd find it here. Really though just trying to curb yall's excitement, this story is made up and I knew yall would be getting all giddy.

Way to contradict yourself.

If it's made up (you've stated that it is twice now), what possible info would you be looking for?

Typical Gump troll.

I saw the injury happen, he got twisted around very slightly while being sacked. Well, no one sacks Alabama's QB though, it was more like a courtesy fall. Anyway, my first thought was, "That dude's dead!" Take from it what you will, but I think he died. I saw them digging a hole to bury the corpse in on the sideline, but I never saw them toss it in. Like I said, take from it what you will.

At first I thought the lightning delay was just a cover up for AJ's funeral.

But seriously guys, if this story was even a possibility of being legit, I would imagine way more people and news outlets than some guy at CFN would be talking about the knee of the QB on the #1 team.

I don't wish an injury on any player.

Makes me no nevermind who QBs Bama.

Our 22 will line up against your 22 and whoever plays the best on that day wins.

Just one more thing and I'm out. This Mitchell dude just went on Finebaum for some reason. And I say "for some reason" because he was completely unwilling to defend his story. Closest he got when pressed was saying "that's the story I'm going with." Dude sounds like a real attention whore.

Report: AJ McCarron has torn meniscus

As other's have said, this is likely no big deal unless he goes out and gets surgery. More than likely he will just take some meds, do some stretching, wear a brace, and get it taken care of at the end of the season.

I tore a meniscus in my knee and it hurt pretty badly, but I was running around on it just a few days later with no issues (was swollen as frick and hurt a good bit, but if I could handle it then I'm willing to bet a D1 QB can take the pain). I did some brief rehab and stretches for a few months and never even had surgery and I'm fine now. Every now and then it will act up, but 95% of the time I'm pain free.

Well, maybe this will give the "Nick Saban to Cleveland Browns" rumor some legs....

Since no info is out verifying the injury or the severity, then I'm sure it's more of a sprain and he will play.. If it was torn it would depend on which one and the severity. QB isn't a position that he will easily be able to show no ill effects with a torn meniscus coupled with no rest and rehab.. long term it's obviously not to big a deal but could cause him serious issues in the short term if actually torn and his right leg.

Losing 3 potential All American caliber players to injury or being kicked off.. Faulk, Hurst, and Mathieu. Not counting Alexander, Williford, and everyone else who has been hurt. That is the obvious bigger loss.

McCarron is having a much better year though.
