Let's face it, if LSU cannot beat Alabama and win the BCS this year, it will be a huge disappointment

Maybe so, but expecting to do it year in and year out is just ridiculous. Some of the guys I was tailgating with were discussing this very topic. People's expectations for the Tigers are simply too unrealistic. I'll be disappointed with anything less than an SEC championship, but I do not expect that to happen every year, much less a national championship. Not because I don't think the team is capable of such feats, but because that is just simply unrealistic. Saban and Bama alone are reason enough to not expect it to happen every year. On the other hand, Bama fans can't expect it to happen every year either simply because LSU is going to be knocking on the door every year also. That being said, this is the golden age of football, and I can't stand it when people can't enjoy it because they're too busy crying that Miles is a bad coach or something along those lines.

And some people won't be happy with the offense until we're an air raid team. Personally, I couldn't care less how we win, as long as we win. If that means 300 yards rushing in every game from here on out, so be it. I've grown to enjoy watching Copeland and our big backs pounding the rock all game long. I know that if I want to see brutal hits, just watch the fullback I do wish the passing game was a little more effective, but I think it will come along.

I do not recall saying it should happen every year. Last year was a big chance, but LSU got dealt a very bad hand. We all know how the coaching staff did with that opportunity and that is exactly why I inveigh, to the Rantards chagrin.

You can say that CLM/LSU has the misfortune of being in the same conference with the gumps, but that does not look to change soon. So, if Miles cannot take the team to a BCS championship because he fumbles games to Saban, then he will be open to criticism.

Like you, I do not care how the offense works so long as it does. Lately, it has not worked often.
