Hey folks....taking my boys out Sunday morning to go squirrel hunting. Can anyone make a suggestion for a good spot near Baton Rouge? I was thinking Sherburne but have only been out there once and didn't see squat. I came in on the I-10 side and just walked a few of the trails. Would appreciate a good suggestion so the boys have a good outing. Thanks

Cat Island is full of bushy tails. Bunch of cats limited opening weekend, hopefully the wind lays down for your lads.

I second cat island. Place has quite a few squirrels and shouldn't have too many deer hunters. The few deer hunters that are there will be bow hunting, so you should be safe. Good luck!
