I made a Cajun Shrimp stew, then added tomato sauce.

Turned it into a damn fine Shrimp Creole just like that. That is all.

My sister used to make a wonderful shrimp creole but she seems to have no memory of making it, therefore no recipe to share with me.

Maybe I'll just make a shrimp stew and add tomato sauce!

Basically what it is... a cajun shrimp stew with Roux and onions (no trinity for me), a little kitchen bouquet, simmer, add tomato sauce and then the shramps.

Spanky, walking fast or jogging is the best I can do. Running for my life would leave me dead!

Count, next time I get some good shrimp, I will do this. Thanks.

Darla, when getting away from tomato sauce and long grain rice, you need to at least do like me, limp real fast...

OG, I am as anti tomato as they get - but this was really good. Even better than Piccadilly's.

Is it the tomato sauce WITH the long grain rice you are against? I am only against the long grain; I prefer medium. I don't need no stinkin' separated grains, I like them to stick together.

My dad made the best shrimp creole, but never had a recipe written down. I asked him several times to which he'd just respond. I will later. He took with him to the grave.

Kitchen Bouquet and tomato's ? Your into second base, go ahead and microwave that bad boy and shoot for the homerun.

I got nothing against Shrimp Creole, I like River Roads recipe..

Not a big fan of River Parish cuisine, ie John Folse. Its not cajun or creole, but then again I'm not exactly sure what it is?

You need some new batteries for your sarcasm meter. There is enough there to send the dial into the RED zone.
