The stadium gets loud all the time for any number of reasons and in different situations.
But these ear-splitting, goose-bump inducing, jet-engine-sounding games, where the fans try to will the team to victory, always occur when our backs are against the wall, when we have a chip on our shoulder, when the Football Gods may be condescending to us a bit.
The S. Carolina game, the 2007 Florida game, the 2003 Georgia game, the 1987 Auburn game, the 1979 USC game were all that way. Fans actually took the responsibility upon themselves to give the Tigers a sustained advantage. You really can't fake that, the crowd has to feel a bit besieged by events to make that happen. There has to be a bit of disrespect shown the Tigers, and the fans have to have that need to serve the other team a great big cup of STFU.
I'm guessing that The Lying Liliputian and Bama receive the same unique stadium treatment in three weeks.

Heck no. I was at all three of those games and the earthquake game. That UF 07 game was so loud that I felt the stadium shaking below our feet. My Florida friends who were with me looked at me and said, are we safe? Of course they weren't.
