over the past 30 plus years.. I have had labs, chessies and shorthairs....

current shorthair is 3 pushing 4...

and every day is a new adventure...

they are insanely loyal dogs

they bond ridiculously with their inner circle of people....which includes the people they live with and hunt regularly..

heck... wick came to take lil choupique to a ball game and ours caught wind of wick... BOOM he was in the car and it took everything I had to get him out.. and yes.. he sulked the rest of the day thinking he missed a hunting trip.

IMHO.... the pointing breeds..(for the record.. IMO this is pointers, GSP, Britts and english or llewellyn setters)... have much much better noses than any of the "retrieving" breeds...

THey need exercise and structure...

I couldn't imagine not having one....

god help the moles in our back yard....same for frogs, crickets, lizards, squirrels, cats, goats, bats, birds, snakes, orangutangs... it doesn't matter if it moves, flies, wiggles or jumps.. he goes after it...

turning into a decent tracking dog. if we could just keep him the same time zone as us...

and that is a great pick of the now 5'9 lil choupique....
